Dan and Christina’s day and leading up to…in their own words.
‘The most exciting day (besides our wedding day) was the day Dan proposed. We had talked about getting married and I was just anxiously waiting the day he would pop the question. June 20, 2015. Dan arranged for his mom and I to some spa time to have our nails done, she took me for lunch and later I prettied myself for what I thought was a casual double date to the keg with my brother and his wife. I was surprised to find out my sister and her husband from out of town decided to join us as well! I was told we were making a pit stop to “take some pictures” at a park, which ended up to be the park Dan first asked me to be his girlfriend. As we approached further into the park I was handed a photo album, I began to look through and inside were pictures of my parents, Dans parents, nieces and nephews holding a chalkboard sign with different words on them and as I flipped, the words completed the question “Will You Marry Me?”
11 months couldn’t have gone by fast enough, I was so keen to kick start all the planning and all the wonderful pinteresty ideas shortly after Dan proposed. When I think back to how we planned our wedding, we couldn’t be happier (of course a few should of could ofs). However, nothing spoiled Dan and I from soaking up all the love that day. Having this day reflect who we are as a couple meant a lot to us, you could say we like casual/simple with a flare for good taste. Which is why we chose Deer Run Golf Course in Blenheim, Ontario as our venue, classy with some elegance but also laid back. Once we found out we were able to service burgers to our guests, there was no turning back for us…burgers it is!
We love our time spent with friends to have lots of laughter, and our wedding day wasn’t short of that. The company of family and great friends (especially the ones standing up next to us as we said our vows) along with all their support couldn’t have made it easier to feel as stress free as possible and at ease through out the entire journey up to the wedding day.
We were reminded often through out our engagement that the most important thing at the end of the day is that we are married, two becoming one before God. It was a great reminder because although I could have added more sparkle and more details, those things didn’t really matter when the day came to an end, they were simply a bonus to the celebration of Dan and I becoming husband and wife.’
‘It was such a pleasure to work with Sara. She was so easy going and made the photography process so easy, relaxed and stress free. Her ideas and spontaneity gave us some great moments to remember.
The quality of our wedding photos was important to us, and our expectations were met and then some! The photos we received captured our special day so perfectly and reflected us so accurately. Plus we’ve admired her work prior to booking with her, which made the choice to go with her so easy’ 🙂
Thank you so much again!!
